Fairvilla University, the education and training division of Central Florida’s iconic adult retailer Fairvilla, proudly hosted its first-ever KinkFest this September at the Fairvilla Sexy Things Kissimmee location. The event redefined product education, blending sales training, community learning, and sex-positive culture into one dynamic, full-day experience.
Supported by key vendor partners East Coast News (ECN), Shots and Secrets Hideaway Resort & Spa, KinkFest brought together Fairvilla’s retail, education, and purchasing teams for immersive workshops and hands-on product exploration.
The day’s sessions — KinkFest 101 and KinkFest 201 — provided educational, accessible entry points into kink and BDSM culture, emphasizing communication, safety, and consent. Between workshops, attendees visited the Mood Boost Bar, a curated sensory tasting experience featuring vendor products across multiple categories.
ECN and Shots provided employee swag while Secrets Hideaway Resort & Spa catered lunch, reinforcing the supportive spirit behind the event. Colorful tables featuring Felicio, Fairvilla’s heritage flamingo mascot, in leather gear, along with journals, crayons, and stickers, added a lighthearted creative touch that reflected Fairvilla’s unique blend of professionalism and play.
“Our vendor partnerships are at the heart of everything we do,” said Erica Ulrich, Chief Purchasing Officer at Fairvilla. “Special events like KinkFest give our team the opportunity to connect directly with the products and the people behind them. It builds confidence on the sales floor and strengthens the relationships that allow us to deliver the best experience to our guests.”
For Fairvilla’s Chief Marketing Officer, Jo Badger, the event signaled something much larger for the adult retail industry.
“Fairvilla has always believed that sexual wellness is about more than just product sales—it’s about safety, education, and community,” said Badger. “KinkFest is proof that when retailers and vendors come together, we don’t just move product — we become more empowered to serve our community, even in the spaces that often go unspoken.”
KinkFest’s success underscores the evolving role of education in adult retail, where product training and customer advocacy go hand-in-hand. By investing in staff knowledge, Fairvilla and its vendor partners are setting a new benchmark for industry leadership, integrity, and consumer trust.
