JANRA, the nation’s largest operator of adult retail stores, today announced the promotion of Megan Swartz to Chief Operating Officer (COO).
“Megan has been an industry leader and innovator for more than 20 years and is consistently recognized among the best and brightest,” said a company statement from JANRA. “We’re very pleased to see her step into this new role, where she will continue to oversee purchasing and distribution operations in addition to broader operational leadership.”
Swartz previously held several key roles within JANRA and its affiliated companies, including Retail General Manager, Nightclub General Manager, and Purchasing Director. She is also the creator of the Together Vibe, an innovative couples’ device, and a frequent contributor to leading industry publications such as XBIZ and StorErotica.
“Our transition over the past five years to complete self-distribution and centralized warehousing has been an exciting process that now allows us to fully leverage the buying power of one of the largest retailers in the adult retail market,” said Swartz. “This evolution has created tremendous opportunities to partner directly with new vendors and execute bulk transactions that strengthen our ability to grow and add new locations each month.”

JANRA currently operates retail stores under 23 distinct brands and has been on an aggressive expansion campaign over the past five years. The company plans to grow to more than 200 retail locations nationwide by 2030.
