Few leaders in adult retail bring the kind of energy, humor and theatrical flair that define Reign Elias’ management approach. As a General Manager who doubles as a top-performing salesperson, Elias blends operational savvy with a showtime persona that motivates staff, delights customers and drives impressive results. In this interview, she offers insight on her one-of-a-kind management approach, the sales tactics that consistently boost conversions and the merchandising strategies that drive results.
SE: What does an average day as GM look like for you?
Elias: A day in my world is equal parts chaos conductor, pleasure ringmaster and full-time glam commander. I manage two stores that operate like a goth-chic circus, except the clowns are vibrators and the tightrope is covered in lube. I start my mornings with a coffee the size of a Fleshlight before I bounce between Reno East and Reno West like a caffeinated glitter gremlin, checking inventory, coaching associates, restyling displays and closing sales. By late afternoon, I’m curating gift baskets and turning a shy couple’s $20 curiosity into a $150 fantasy kit. My life is 50% management, 50% sales and 100% energy.
SE: How do you manage two stores and still stay a top seller?
Elias: I don’t balance managing and selling—I fuse them. I lead through demonstration, not direction. I’m on the floor constantly, making real-time decisions and coaching through example. At the end of the day, though, the secret is passion. When you genuinely enjoy helping people find their fun, customers see it—and they buy the glow.
“We run ‘Merch Madness’ contests where staff pitch display ideas, keeping the floor fresh and the team invested.”
— Reign Elias, General Manager
SE: What makes you such a strong salesperson and leader?
Elias: I’m a blend of glitter, grit and strategy. I read customers instantly and match their energy—gentle for the shy, playful for the bold. I also keep the environment fun with trivia, contests, bingo and quirky traditions, because a happy team always translates to sales that slap.
SE: How do you connect with customers and coach your team to close sales confidently?
Elias: I rely on what I call the Sparkle & Seal Method. It starts with a vibe check—eye contact, a welcoming smile and one bold opener to break the ice. From there, I act as a fantasy DJ, curating the story behind each product. I pair each with a companion item and close with soft, assumptive choices that make saying yes the natural outcome. Training mirrors that energy. We hold daily “Reign Replays”—fast roleplay with instant feedback where associates earn tiny tiara stickers. The goal isn’t for them to copy me, but to remix what works into their own style.
SE: What’s the most common sales mistake you see?
Elias: Rushing the close. Associates build the mood beautifully, get the customer excited… and then flop at the finish line with a timid, “So… you buying this?” I correct it with my “Tease, Please, Seize” philosophy: tease the benefit, offer an assumptive close and seize the yes with confidence.
SE: What layout and merchandising strategies drive your strongest results?
Elias: Suzies isn’t a store—it’s a seduction stage. The entrance is a Tease Zone with rotating displays. The aisles follow a curated journey from mild to wild, guiding shoppers deeper into the fantasy at their own pace. Checkout is the land of irresistible mini-add-ons that turn a $60 basket into $100. We run “Merch Madness” contests where staff pitch display ideas, keeping the floor fresh and the team invested.
SE: What trends are shaping the industry now, and what do you expect for 2026?
Elias: Right now, TikTok-famous toys and self-care pleasure bundles are flying off shelves, while arcade-to-bedroom products and gender-inclusive experiences are gaining traction. Looking ahead to 2026, smart toys, demo bars and interactive displays will become the norm and genderless merchandising will expand across the board. I’m already planning “TikTok Takeover Tuesdays” to harness the wave.
