The Ever Given needs more lube.

The giant, nearly-the-size-of-the-Empire-State-Building container ship Ever Given has been lodged in the Suez Canal in Egypt since Tuesday, March 23, causing a logjam that has had reverberations throughout the global economy. It’s estimated that in 2020, the Suez Canal saw more than 50 ships pass through it daily, so you can imagine the Ever Given’s position essentially blocking any traffic through the canal.

Among the ships on hold waiting for the Ever Given to be dislodged is a ship carrying sex toys. Lots of sex toys.

EDC Retail is a Dutch company and European adult retail behemoth that has a ship carrying such toys.

“There are more than 20 containers full of well-running items, such as vibrators, dildos and male masturbators,” CEO of EDC Retail Evertine Magerman told Dutch news website RTV Noord, per the New York Post. Apparently, EDC considered rerouting the ship around Africa—like some other vessels have done to combat the unknown wait time—but decided against it because of the certain five to seven days added to the trip.

And while progress is certainly being with the Ever Given’s position in the canal, not all is quite right just yet. Again, the world and its economies are watching what happens with the Ever Given with bated breath.

Peter Berdowski, CEO of Boskalis, the salvage firm hired to dislodge the Ever Given, warned Dutch NPO Radio 1 ‘Don’t cheer too soon,” per the New York Post.

*Rejoice! As of Monday morning (3/29), the Ever Given has been freed, opening the way for all those sex toys.
