Join Vibratex, Las Vegas’ Erotic Heritage Museum, and artist Dafne Blade for an intimate, cerebral event on Saturday, September 3rd at 6 pm (local time).

Vibratex, the sole North American importer of the Magic Wand brand, commissioned Blade to create the “Pleasure as Art” sculpture piece in 2021. The sculpture makes use of 100 decommissioned wands and features a highly-detailed, original painting. Mashable referred to the piece as “not only stunning, but evocative of ‘Game of Thrones.’”

The “throne,” which has drawn wide praise from industry insiders following its appearance at both Altitude and ANME, is currently on display at the Erotic Heritage Museum in Las Vegas, NV as part of the facility’s “Sex in Space” exhibit.

During the September 3rd event, artist Blade will be presenting their story, including the inspiration for and development of the piece. A Q&A period with the artist will follow.

“As lovers of sci-fi, Dafne Blade’s art provides a truly magical addition to our ‘Sex in Space’ exhibit,” Erotic Heritage Museum curator Kayla Adams shared. “Their art adds excellent commentary to the history of self-indulgence and human sexuality. We are so excited we get to be a part of this sculpture’s story.”

Tickets for the event are on sale now for $10 each via EventBrite here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/magic-wand-pleasure-as-art-tickets-401448502277

All event proceeds (less processing fees) will be donated to Napa-based organization lgbtqconnection.org.

The Erotic Heritage Museum is located at 3275 South Sammy Davis Jr. Drive in Las Vegas, NV. Vibratex’s Pleasure as Art sculpture will be on display through October 2022.

The Harry Moheny Erotic Heritage Museum opened in 2014 as a partnership between Reverand Ted McIllvenna and pornographer Harry Mohney. Today, the museum stands as an “assemblage of some of the most important sexual artifacts, scientific explorations, and interactive exhibitions in the world” and is dedicated to preserving freedom of sexual expression and education through the preservation of global erotic heritage.
