Andrea Servedio’s title may be office manager and executive assistant, but she’s really more of an octopus, tentacles going in every direction at GigglesWorld to ensure everything runs smoothly.

GigglesWorld office manager and executive assistant to president Tim Serino, Andrea Servedio wears many hats. The former office manager of an oral surgery practice handles making sure all bills are being paid on time and verifying credit cards. She also does the HR, hiring, and staff training and sends out emails to the stores’ and club employees to ensure they’re updated on policies and procedures. She also tackles a lot of the customer service. And then there’s product development.

SE: Tell me about that about the product development with GigglesWorld. How involved are you in this process?
SERVEDIO: I love working alongside Tim. Product development is one of the newer things I’m learning from him; the entire production of the product, from start to finish, from the artwork to dimensions to the coloring to all the types of specs for the product. It is gratifying, and I’m so grateful to have such a fun job.

SE: Unlike other store chains, I understand GigglesWorld is designing some of its own stuff rather than just working with products that are out there?  Can you give me an example of a product you were involved in developing recently?
SERVEDIO: I was recently project manager for Pink Vibes, our exclusive vibrator line. I was involved in every aspect of how the product was created and designed, right down to labeling, packaging, and how we can ship by sea to deliver our final masterpieces to our warehouse in Fishkill, New York. I’m learning so much.

SE: What are the biggest challenges with your job?
SERVEDIO: Sourcing, finding good prices for the materials and the designs. And finding quality people to create what vision we’re looking for.

SE: With COVID-19, has the business changed? And has your role changed much in the time you’ve been there?
SERVEDIO: If anything, I’d say it’s gotten busier. Because it’s been more work since COVID. A lot of people are making changes in their employment. So I think there’s been more responsibility since probably the end of last year.
