Eldorado Trading Company, the award-winning distributor of adult toys, lingerie, and party supplies, coordinated the 11th annual Thanksgiving fundraising campaign to collect food and money donations for the Community Food Share, a local Colorado nonprofit which provides food to hundreds of local families and senior citizens in need.

Through the guidance of the Eldorado Food Share Committee, employees collected over $3,319 and approximately 300 pounds of food in their yearly effort to support the charity’s mission to eliminate hunger. Every dollar donated provides three meals and every pound of food equals one meal donated, Eldorado’s various initiatives will provide over 10,000 meals to help feed the hungry and food insecure. One in eight Americans are food insecure, meaning they lack consistent access to enough food for an active, healthy life for all household members.

Eldorado collected food donations both in the office and at numerous local businesses. Employees also hosted multiple on-site events, including a chili cook-off, football pools, a sample merchandise sale, and a vibrator race in an effort to raise funds. Jade McGee, Eldorado human resource assistant and chair of the Food Share Committee, is proud of how well the Eldorado employees worked together to address the needs in the local community.
“This fundraiser is an Eldorado favorite,” says McGee. “We always have so much fun supporting the vital mission of the Community Food Share.”
