The SEX+ Summit has proudly signed Je Joue as Keynote Sponsor and will host two live keynotes during the one-of-a-kind digital event, giving attendees access to the wisdom and support of Sexuality Doula Ev’Yan Whitney and author and LGBTQ+ advocate pundit Jeffrey Marsh. Taking place online Oct. 2-4, 2020, the SEX+ Summit centers Black, queer, non-binary, and non-Black POC voices to foster essential conversations about sex, sexuality, and spirituality often left out of mainstream wellness and sexuality spaces.

“Sex education is not just about understanding your body, sexuality, and what gives you pleasure – it is so much more,” Je Joue marketing manager Sienna Halliburton says. “It forms an important part of a person’s journey towards understanding and accepting themselves and others. It gives people the tools to say ‘no’ or ‘yes’ and fosters a sense of responsibility towards our own wellbeing, as well as others. As a sex positive company, we want to empower all people to feel good about themselves and comfortable exploring what gives them pleasure. We are so excited to be part of the SEX+ Summit and support the incredibly diverse range of voices and perspectives they will be hosting.”

Hosted by experienced sex educators and cultural event producers, the SEX+ Summit brings together some of the brightest and most engaging experts, practitioners, and healers whose work intersects sexuality, sensuality, and identity. This weekend-long digital event dares you to open your mind and find a new comfort zone while exploring some of the most powerful, interesting, and exciting offerings available. Each workshop, panel, keynote, and at-home experiential is specially produced for digital engagement with a mix of live discussions, and downloadable content and activities you can enjoy at your leisure.

In addition to Ev’Yan Whitney and Jeffrey Marsh, joining the SEX+ Summit is Black Feminist folk-healer Jade T. Perry and acclaimed dancer and creator Arielle Egozi for the opening night ceremony, and musician and teacher Prince Puja for a Sunday morning yoga ceremony. Panelists include astrologer Dayna Lynn Nuckolls of The People’s Oracle, Body Relationship Coach Ivy Felicia, trauma expert and queer media consultant Jimanekia Eborn, activist and artist Sean Saifa Wall of the Intersex Justice Project, therapist and radical body acceptance advocate Sonalee Rashatwar, President and CEO of SIECUS – Sex Ed for Social Change Christine Soyong Harley, and many others.

The SEX+ Summit is for anyone that shares a passion for self-care and sensual exploration, as it provides connection and community at a vital time. “I love talking about how to release shame and step into sexual liberation,” Whitney said. “I love speaking about sensuality — the practice of it, the theory of it, the embodiment of it. Pleasure, as well. I’m inspired by being able to help others heal and liberate their sexuality and come back into connection with their bodies. I hope that my voice and wisdom will spur others to heal and actualize themselves.”

The SEX+ Summit also connects attendees with the wellness world’s in-demand services – tarot, astrology, breathwork, sex toys, herbalism, and more – with a hand-picked marketplace of makers, artists, service providers, and brands who represent the latest and greatest in sexual and sensual wellness. “I rarely get the chance to speak to people about something so urgent in their lives,” Marsh said. “If I give Buddhist speeches, it can get poetic and metaphorical. So, I relish the chance to speak about the immediacy of all of the issues that this summit is addressing. I often like to remind people that self-kindness and self-compassion are real life, but with a Summit like this — with such an important and relevant topic — there is no need to draw those connections. The SEX+ Summit will help everyone understand the relevance of caring for, and standing up for, ourselves.”
