ZALO USA’s groundbreaking new app, which can tell women how many calories they have burnt by masturbating, is the subject of a recent news story featured on DailyMail.co.uk.
The article highlights the app’s unique feature and gathers feedback from professionals — several of which agreed that masturbation can burn calories. Daily Mail also considered ZALO USA’s own study of 218 women, which found that they burned six calories every minute.
The calorie-counting calculation feature on ZALO’s app monitors the duration, as well as which setting of vibration women choose to use. The higher the vibrations, the higher a woman’s heart rate — which means she will burn more calories.
ZALO has determined that if a woman masturbated three times a week for 10 minutes, she could burn 90 calories.
The app, which can be downloaded for free, can be connected to three of ZALO vibrators through Bluetooth. The app also monitors how loud women are while masturbating and automatically shuts off when it senses the vibrations are over.
The app’s in-built happiness recorder can be used to analyze the decibels of “sexual vocalization” made per minute. The louder the user is, the more points are earned. The app will keep track of the data to come up with a score, which is known as the Z-index.
Among several medical professionals that agreed that masturbation could be calorie burning was Tania Adib, a consultant gynecologist at The Medical Chambers Kensington, who called ZALO’s latest development “an interesting and fun new addition.
Dr. Aseem Malhotra, an NHS cardiologist also agreed that was “feasible” that “masturbation can prevent weight gain,” pointing out that “for women, regular orgasms release the hormone oxytocin that counteracts the effects cortisol, the stress hormone that also makes us hungry,” he said.
