Eldorado Trading Company, the award-winning distributor of adult toys, lingerie, and party supplies, has coordinated their 12th annual Thanksgiving fundraising campaign to collect food and money donations for the Community Food Share, a local Colorado nonprofit which provides food to hundreds of local families and senior citizens in need.

Through the generosity of Eldorado employees, they raised over $1,378 which was matched by Eldorado CEO, Wanda Garland, for a total donation of $2,756.

Every dollar donated provides three meals. Eldoradoā€™s donation will provide two families of four people enough meals for one year. According to Feed America, ā€œthe USDA’s latest Household Food Insecurity in the United States reports that more than 35 million people in the United States struggled with hunger in 2019. This number is more than double the American households in 2018 who were food insecure with limited or uncertain access to enough food.ā€

The annual Food Share drive is a cherished Eldorado initiative.

ā€œMy late husband and Eldorado founder, Larry, started our tradition of fundraising for the Community Food Share back in 2008,” says Wanda Garland. “We are very proud to continue this tradition to support such a vital community resource.ā€
