The Ultimate Pleasure Pro licks, sucks, vibrates and stimulates the G-spot at the same time for a wallop of a toy.

The Godfather Part II.” “Top Gun: Maverick.” “Toy Story 2.” “The Dark Knight.” “Terminator 2: Judgment Day.”

Sometimes, it is possible to improve upon the original. Just like an ad Pipedream Products has run before, “the original just got even better.”

But, appreciating the improvement necessitates an understanding of what made the original great.

Fantasy for Her Her Ultimate Pleasure won SE’s “New Product of the Year” Award in 2019. At the time, it was dubbed “the vibe that’s gone viral.” It quickly became an “it” item that captivated retailers and users, as reflected by its attention and popularity. The ensuing 24k edition nabbed the SE Award for “Luxury Pleasure Product of the Year” in 2020.

Despite the Ultimate Pleasure’s accolades, Pipedream and its Chief Design Officer Kristian Broms weren’t about to sit idly by and halt progress of their wonderfully received toy.

Given the rousing success of Ultimate Pleasure, in a successful effort to up the ante, Pipedream is now shipping a new-and-improved version of the product, the Ultimate Pleasure Pro from the company’s Fantasy for Her line.

And while Broms may have already had his mental gears spinning on how to refine Ultimate Pleasure, the Pro needed to be guided as much internally as by what people were saying on the outside.

“In terms of coming out with a fresh version of it — in this case the Pro — this item was driven by customer feedback (i.e. calls for simultaneous internal stimulation) and a desire to stay ahead of copycat items flooding the market,” says Broms. “The original has had a great run and we feel very confident it’s going to continue to have strong sales, but our industry, like any industry, is always looking for the next great thing. I think this offers a freshness and new take off the success the original had.”

And while the Pro is certainly a more enhanced version of its predecessor, Broms said there was a conscientious effort to have the Pro be a departure from Ultimate Pleasure but not so much so that its product roots were unrecognizable.

“That’s definitely the case,” says Broms. “We know how well the original has performed, from sales and great reviews, so I didn’t want to change the core function of the original, what everyone loved so much — licking, sucking and vibration at the same time. That had to remain.”

When asked what he’s most excited about regarding this new product, Broms takes a moment to reflect before responding.

“People that were wowed by the original and had a great experience using the original, (the Ultimate Pleasure Pro) just brings that much more stimulation at the same time,” he says. “It’s like the old ‘Spinal Tap’ joke with the amp that goes to 11. We were already at 10 with the original, now we’ve turned it to 11 with the Pro.

“It has a tongue that wiggles and licks; inside the tongue is a vibrator, and in addition, it has a suction cup that provides suction in various patterns,” adds Broms. “Those three actions all at once are what made the original so enticing.

“In addition, there’s a separate control with a super powerful vibrator that you can maneuver and turn into a G-spot vibrator,” he continues. “The Ultimate Pleasure Pro has been redesigned a bit — the functions everyone likes are more or less the same — but now, the insertable G-spot part can be used simultaneously. It’s even more impressive than the original. I know how much work goes into making new items and the Ultimate Pleasure Pro is a reflection of that hard work.”

Broms says the Pro has been in the works for a little more than a year, pausing to take note that product development for the industry has been challenged by the pandemic (and subsequent rebound) and the associated logistical issues.

“I think both developing and releasing new items have taken an unusual amount of time,” he says. “With this particular product, the prototyping stage, even after form factor was finalized, took longer than normal in terms of getting it ready.”

And while a snarl in releasing a product may be a headache, it can be a blessing in disguise because it affords Broms and his team more time to examine the product from every angle, more so than usual, or even improve upon it, if necessary, in the interim.

“I think there’s often a little bit of that involved,” says Broms about the general delay for industry products. “Whenever there are challenges to be met and conquered, it opens opportunities for the people that are willing to face those head-on. It’s not business as usual — you have to work harder, there are more steps involved — but the people and companies that are willing to do the extra work and have both the know-how and perseverance to withstand and go the extra step when it’s not business as usual, it creates opportunities. If you’re not one of those companies, then you get left behind. When there’s crisis, it can also lead to opportunities.”

As mentioned previously, the Ultimate Pleasure has been a steady volume mover for Pipedream Products, but that hasn’t tempered or altered how the Pro’s success is framed.

Like the Ultimate Pleasure, the Pro is seen as a luxury item meant more for discerning end-customers.

“We certainly expect more from this item than most regular items we release,” says Broms. “Will it measure up? Because of the more sophisticated design, it has a higher retail price. It may not reach the same number of units — we’ve had incredible sales with the original — but we certainly expect the Pro to be very successful nonetheless. Early indications are there’s a lot of interest in this item.

“I think for people that own the original, there will be interest in trying out this newer item and seeing what it’s like,” Broms adds. “All of these functions are individually controlled so the range of use is vast — it doesn’t have to be at an 11 all the time.”
