Xgen’s Resident Sexologist, Dr. Mindy, is passionate about bringing out the “inner sexy” of her customers in promotion of their overall health and wellbeing. In addition to her weekly newsletters, which cover monthly trends in sexual and mental health, as well as her personal practice and social media feed of tips for “beautiful people on the inside and out to live their best sex lives,” Dr. Mindy has recently developed a series of online education courses to further her global wellness mission. Sponsored by Xgen, “Sex with Dr. Mindy,” is a series of enjoyable, short and easily-digestible courses, which cover a broad range of adult topics and are available to retailers at no cost.

“My collaboration with Xgen began with product review videos of new releases, which I still provide,” Dr. Mindy shares. “In my reviews, I don’t discuss the features of the product, because that’s Xgen’s expertise; rather, I cover the oft-forgotten mental health contributions of sexual wellness, as well as my medical knowledge regarding the ideal target market for any particular toy. My latest project will build from these reviews, to offer a comprehensive guide for retail employees.”

Certified with a PhD in Clinical Sexology and a Master’s in mental health, Dr. Mindy is exceptionally knowledgeable in the “pleasure pathway,” or the relationship with one’s body necessary to engage in personal body exploration, and ultimately, to achieve one’s own sexual satisfaction.

“All of the Xgen products, ranging from toys, to lingerie, to other accessory items, can help us embrace our inner sexy,” explains Dr. Mindy. “For example, products such as candles and visual erotica help us mentally stimulate ourselves, which contributes to the relaxation required to enjoy the use of adult toys, and thereby stimulate our own personal pleasure.”

“Sex with Dr. Mindy” is currently a course in six chapters, released monthly. Each chapter, which ranges between 15 and 18 minutes, is engineered to educate retail employees to better serve their customers, not from a sales perspective, but from the perspective of sexual wellness.

As a preview, Dr. Mindy shares that the first two chapters, which are already available online, impart valuable instructions in engaging a first-time customer — including what body language to look for to determine whether the customer even wants to engage with the retailer, or whether they would prefer to shop alone. If the customer does appear to be seeking guidance, Dr. Mindy suggests a series of questions a retailer can ask to help direct the customer towards their desired and best-suited product.

“Additionally, to come, there’s a chapter which helps local and frequent shoppers find new and exciting products in their favored store; there’s one that really identifies the impact of lingerie on helping somebody feel sexy; and there is even a biological chapter which offers a pleasure-based overview of the human anatomy,” she foreshadows.

Dr. Mindy also informs that her course is more than adaptable to meet the needs of her students.

“These chapters were all founded on what store owners and managers told me explicitly that they wanted their employees to be aware of, so I’m excited to hear how the education is being received, and what more I can provide, based on that feedback,” delights Dr. Mindy.
