The W Hotel in Hollywood provided the glitz and the glamour (and more room) at the 2020 XBIZ Awards. They broke from tradition by separating the Retail award show which proved to be most favorable among the guests. XBIZ Magazine honored the best of the best in all areas of the adult retail business and we congratulate all the winners and nominees.

Rousing applause came as Sportsheets International was honored with its fourth BDSM Pleasure Products Company of the Year award. Sportsheets’ newly crowned VP of sales and marketing, Mark Cataldo and Creative/Brand Director, Chaney Cox, made their way to the stage to accept one of the most coveted awards of the night thanking their distributors, retailers, consumers, the entire Sportsheets team and XBIZ for the honor.

“What an honor it was for Chaney and me to represent Sportsheets at the 2020 XBIZ awards,” says Cataldo. “It’s one thing to be nominated in several categories and another thing to win for BDSM Pleasure Product Company of the Year. Being the best at something is never because of one person or even a few people, it takes every single one of us. When you think about what we do and the processes involved from product ideas, sourcing, purchasing, packaging & imagery, branding, making the products, marketing, selling, pulling & shipping products, and accounting, everyone plays a vital part in this success”.

Barely into 2020, Sportsheets has been on a roll – moving over the holidays into a facility more than twice the size of its Huntington Beach office and warehouse, Founder Tom Stewart announcing his retirement, and Julie Stewart taking the reins with a new leadership team. Coming off their most successful ANME show to date with new products in the most retail-friendly product line Sex&Mischief, the company has proved that there is no limit to their success and things are only going up.

Adds CEO Julie Stewart, “Our team has been working tirelessly to develop new products and be the leader in the BDSM and Fetish arena so to be recognized by the industry for all our hard work is the best feeling ever. With the move, the new building and now this win – what a way to start a new decade in our history!”
