Pipedream Products unveils their newest set of Icicles products, which now include vibrating glass with suction-cup functionality!

If you don’t succeed at first, try, try again. Try 82 times if you have to. In fact, that’s precisely what the creative team at Pipedream Products did, culminating in their newest iterations of Icicles.

To be clear, unlike past inventors and designers, Pipedream didn’t fail at its previous iterations. On the contrary, Icicles has grown into one of Pipedream Product’s flagship brands. And with its newest attempts and successes, Icicles is shifting the pleasure goalposts.

Three new Icicles — Nos. 83, 84 and 85 — debuted at the virtual ANME Founders Show in January. They are rechargeable and vibrating.

“These three are our first ever vibrating, rechargeable, remote-controlled, silicone, suction-cup, waterproof glass massagers,” says Pipedream’s Rob Phaneuf. “It only took 82 Icicles to get there, but we finally figured it out. These things really do it all. They can be used with or without the suction cup and then with or without the remote.”

Unlike previous Icicles, which were slim-line vibrators with a glass sheath and a rubber ring holding it all together, these Icicles are 100% sealed. The motors are at the tip, the lithium-ion battery at the base, and they boast 3.5 inches of insertable length. The new Icicles also feature three basic, beginner-friendly anal shapes: a plug, P-Spot/ G-Spot, and vibrating bead. And control can be accessed remotely or through the base of the vibe itself.

“Now you can enjoy glass in the shower without having to worry if it’ll break,” says Phaenuf. “The suction cup doubles as a cradle; if there’s a seat, it softens the cushion for the pushin’.”

“These things are powerful and quiet. That’s often the hard thing about putting vibration inside glass —keeping the noise level down, but also having the vibration transfer through the glass. These check all of those marks.” — Kristian Broms

“Now you can enjoy glass in the shower without having to worry if it’ll break,” says Phaenuf. “The suction cup doubles as a cradle; if there’s a seat, it softens the cushion for the pushin’.”

Oh, and the borosilicate glass allows these Icicles to be heated up or cooled down, rendering them ideal for temperature play.

The Icicles have one charger and one charging cord for both the remote and the piece itself. Icicles come in fifth- panel window boxes with foam trays and magnetic-lock enclosures.

“We already sold out the first batch after ANME,” says Phaneuf. “They’re kicking ass; there’s nothing like these on the market because it crosses so many different categories. With the glass and the silicone, there are just so many different uses. It’s not only remote-controlled, it’s great for partner play, anal, rechargeable — all the categories in one toy.

“What really makes this special is the suction cup,” adds Phaneuf. “What makes it so cool, when you put the Icicle in and this thing is on the wall, it’s not coming out. When you want to take it out, peel the suction cup back from the lid and then pop it out and it’s ready to be used with the remote.”

“(Icicles) is very ‘boutique,’ an upscale line for Pipedream. I’ve never seen anything like them; they’re works of art.” — Rob Phaneuf

The new vibrating Icicles power on at the bottom and blink to let users know it’s on. Users then cycle through the 10 different functions with the remote or the piece.

“Vibrating glass is definitely an emerging market; people are looking for a glass dildo which is also a vibrating toy,” says Kristian Broms, chief design officer at Pipedream. “These things are powerful and quiet. That’s often the hard thing about putting vibration inside glass — keeping the noise level down, but also having the vibration transfer through the glass. These check all of those marks. That’s definitely a big improvement.”

“With proper use, these should last a lifetime,” adds Phaneuf.

As if your head wasn’t spinning with the opportunity the new trio affords, Pipedream also just dropped six more new Icicles.

The six non-vibrating Icicles will be larger pieces and have all the same functions except no vibration. But they do have the same suction cups, which is a boon for cross promotion.

“The great thing about a solid suction cup, especially in bigger pieces, is the compatibility with a harness,” says Phaneuf. “Because it’s solid on the bottom, when it’s put in the harness it’ll stay on the backside of the harness. If the suction cup is too flimsy, then it would come right out of the harness. Now, users have the option of strap-on- compatible glass to delve into another category.”

Pipedream’s suction cup mastery hearkens to some of its other brands — specifically, WallBanger and 3Some — that also utilize suction. And Phaenuf knows all customers need is a taste before they’re begging to push the sexual envelope. Therein lies, arguably, the new Icicles’ biggest value: The ability to be Trojan-horsed into the mainstream.

“Icicles has gotten Pipedream Products into a lot of different retailers and sales channels that may not carry other Pipedream items, like ‘Fuck Me Silly’ products, some of the edgier stuff,” comments Phaneuf. “Icicles is completely the opposite, it’s universal. It’s very ‘boutique,’ an upscale line for Pipedream. I’ve never seen anything like them; they’re works of art.”
