Lilly Jenner at the 2023 ED Expo.

ED Publications is sorry to share that our dedicated editor Lilly Jenner, who started with the company in 2022, will be moving on. As an integral part of the team, she will certainly be missed, but we’re immensely proud of her decision to tackle a career as a firefighter in Idaho. Her last day with the company is Friday, May 3.

Moving forward, all editorial content and inquiries can be sent to ED Publications’ new editor, Kristen Burke at Kristen@edpublications.com.

Kristen is a Florida implant from New York with over 10 years of writing and marketing experience. She pursued her MFA in Creative Writing at Stony Brook University and has written for the Independent, Showbiz CheatSheet, CinemaBlend and Ranker.

“I’m excited to join ED Publications and look forward to familiarizing myself more with the industry! After working freelance for nearly a decade, I’m eager to be part of a team again and write for ED and SE Magazines.”

A note from Lilly:

“I’ve met some truly amazing people during my time with ED and SE Magazines, in the offices, over the phone or email and at the ED EXPO. I joined the team shortly after graduating with my Master’s in Creative Writing, and it was my first official position as a full-time writer. The pride I felt when I made it through the three-part hiring process to be introduced to eminent Don Waitt (and the darling Boudreaux) was immense! And I will always be grateful for the opportunity I was given as a relatively young writer.

I thought I had left my summer job from college behind me, but as the temperatures have heated up, I’ve felt called back to fighting fire in the Northwest. I’ll be stationed with a crew in a national forest in Idaho, and I’m wordlessly excited for the physical challenge, and, when words do come, to continue writing in my free time in my Fire Journals.

The challenge of writing for a bimonthly publication was certainly of a different order, and it always gave me great satisfaction when a client reached out to say that they enjoyed the story I wrote for them. This industry is undeniably special. I will always look fondly on my time with this company, and I hope that everyone I’ve met won’t be a stranger — should we meet again!”
