The AI ChatGPT has already attempted with startling success a number of considerably “human” activities, like writing screenplays and speeches, but its newest innovation is both extremely interesting and creepy. Lovense — perhaps best known for its remote-controllable sex toys — this week announced its ChatGPT-integrated Pleasure Companion, a generative AI that can whisper sweet nothings.
Speaking to TechCrunch, Dan Liu, CEO of Lovense, describes the system as a means to “explore your sexuality and boundaries completely independently.”
Users have the ability to divulge their erotic fantasies to the “Advanced Lovense ChatGPT Pleasure Companion,” which then uses ChatGPT to write a story based on their selected topic. The device then narrates the story with vibrations synced to the rhythm of its robotic voice.
“The higher the intensity of the story, the stronger and faster the toy’s reaction will be,” Lovense explained.
To operate the sex toy, users must first download the free Lovense remote-controlled app. There, they can divulge their wildest sexual fantasy free of human judgement, providing as many specifics as they’d like, such as characters and locations. Users then select from four categories to give tone to the story: romantic, sensual, juicy or spicy.
ChatGPT is a massive language model trained on a unimaginable store of text data to generate “eerily human-like text in response to a given prompt,” according to perthnow.
“Riding off into the sunset in a galaxy far, far away? It’s got you (un)covered,” says TechCrunch. “A sultry Wild West drama featuring six muppets and a tap-dancing octopus? No problem, partner. Finally want to dip into that all-out orgy fantasy you have where you turn into a gingerbread man, and you’re leaning into the crisply baked gingerbread village? Probably . . . we didn’t try. But that’s part of the fun with generative AI: If you can think it, you can experience it.”
The exciting new tech is still “in beta” and available exclusively on the Lovense Remote app, free of any charge.
